It was a wild wild week for me. Good that there was a holiday during the week. I spend the whole day with my Life Mates at Enchanted Kingdom for the whole day. This was also our last gimik with Dan around. He just left for Singapore to migrate with his parents today. Im gona miss that brother a lot!!!Thanks for the family brow!!! I'll be visiting you soon at Singapore this coming months after I get my mid quarter bonus...hehehehe. Anyway it was a busy week at work. | Im breaking my silence. It's time for me to speak up my mind and not just accept orders and orders and orders, protocols and protocols and protocols. I will "not" allow myself be beaten by injustice and be moved by misuse of power. Someone needs to make a difference, someone needs to address..."what kind of Bureaucracy is this???" Someone needs to speak up. "Vox populi, vox dei"
[Bureaucracy is a concept in sociology and political science referring to the way that the administrative execution and enforcement of legal rules are socially organized. This office organization is characterized by standardized procedure (rule-following), formal division of responsibility, hierarchy, and "impersonal relationships."(www.wikipedia.com)] What if the so called "standardized procedure" tend to waived some personal freedom of an individual? What if the so called "legal rules" shall be used so excessively and sometimes extremely, that it cloaks itself to hide "legalism"? Which it tends to destroy personal relatioship with other poeple and even your very own private space. Yep Bureaucracy is having an "impersonal relationship." Bereaucracy and Power is NOT synonymous to each other. And it will never will. But "some" have the tendency... A time will come where there will be a humbling moment for every tyrant. Shall henceforth they will be judge on how they used or misused their God given responsibility as overseers. The silence is brocken. | | |
| My body is slowly recovering from my illness now. It's been two weeks now of mandatory rest here in Manila. I really felt like my body is always at the bottom of the ocean at night time. But anyway I'm on my way to complete recovery. Ive even lost blood but I'm not afraid.
Ive been away from LB for almost two weeks now and Im thinking of my theses again. Oh well to start it all over again, I blame it to typhoon Milenyo and to the prolonged blackouts in LB. Why do I have to suffer that fate. Badtrip! But anyway I'm enjoying my rest right now slowly regaining strength after what happened to my human body.
Dan, my close friend, or brother as call him...knows everything what happened to me. He stood with me in times of emergency and great ordeal. Ang tawag kona nga sa kanya kuya...hehehe...I really would like to honor my friend and his family for their concern and care, even to the point of fetching me in LB just to bring me here in Manila and even treating me not as guest but as a family member.
Well my mandatory rest will be over soon and I'll be back to work again. But I'll be more carefull now now than before, if I want my life to be longer. Hehehe. How I miss LB and the people, well one thing that I really dont miss is going back to the mansion (my dorm). Pambihira ang iingay ng mga tao dun. Kulang nalang balibagin nila lahat ang mga kwarto. Geezh immature kids.
I dont really have so much to write about, what I only have in mind is hope that I will be completely healed, and appreciation for the people taking time to encourage me as I experience maybe one of the most testing times of my life.
I would like to thank Hyde for all the concern and all the text every time I'm bored with resting and just lying down in bed. Well in fact she formed a text brigade just to ask people to text me and encourage me. I blame her for my flooded inbox. Hehehe. But I really appreciated that.
For Sunshine for always telling me "Kaya mo yan bro! you will get well!" Astig I know Shine I'll get well and be back to LB. Sunshine, sunshine, sunshine...hehehehehe.
For my special friend Geneviev, thanks for making me smile and always encourging me thru text. Gen I have favor to ask please do not worry too much about me. I still have a long long life. And we still be working together reaching out the lost in Every Nation. You'll always be special to me! Thanks a lot.
For my little brother (sorry for the sarcasm) Allan for always reminding me to be joyful and be happy and not think of the problem. "Bro at least cells pa lang yun at hindi pa tumor!" Wow thanks bro for that text it was really encouraging. Thanks for standing with bro kahit na yung time that I was rushed in the hospital for oxygen, Allan was there beside me and trying to crack a joke.
For my outreach group at sa mga taong nag text brigade sakin ng sang katutak na encouragement SALAMAT!
For Dan's mom, Tita Len, for always telling me that I will ok and healed. Comon tita thanks for taking time to tale care of me and having those really really long talks. I tell you guys Dan's mom has lots of absolute reality series to tell. Not to mention mga kalokohan ni Dan nung bata...
And finally thanks a lot DAN! He would always tell this to me: "Alam mo Karl madami pa tayong trabahong gagawin sa buhay. madami pa tayong taong reach out and encourage...We still have work todo..." Eto naman linya nya kapag nagagalit siya sakin kapag inaatake ako: "Do you know why I'm still here,,,because your my friend and will not allow you to die" Hehehehe. Bro Thanks a lot for showing me what real sacrifice is. I look up to you man as a leader, friend, and a brother. Your the best brow!!!
